About Us.
Ethos and vision.
Our mission is to present and demonstrate the reality and love of God to the people of Haringey. We are committed to being an outwardly focused church, sharing God's love and the good news of Jesus to all.
As a church, we are all about encountering God and loving people. If you have questions, are seeking to know who Jesus is, or are simply hungry for more of Him, we’d love to help you as you explore faith, His Word, and presence and power in our lives. Only when we have a real encounter with Jesus, and know His love for us, can we demonstrate his reality and love to those around us.
Prayer.
We are seeking to make prayer the 'engine' of our church, and currently run two online and one in-person prayer groups each week. Please get in touch if you would like to find out more details and join in.
Compassion.
‘Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.’ (Isaiah 58v10)
Through LLV Compassion we aim to demonstrate practically a radical, warm welcome to those who are poor, outcast or marginalised by society. We will be seeking to work in partnership with churches and local charities across Haringey to try to help meet needs in our community.
Greig City Academy.
On Sunday we gather together in our new meeting place at Greig City Academy, a Christian school that has been on its site in Hornsey since the 1830s. Meetings start at 10.30am each week. Everyone is welcome.
We’re a Vineyard Church.
The Vineyard is a church movement which began in the 1980s through the leadership of John Wimber. It currently comprises of more than 1,500 churches worldwide, including over 100 in the UK & Ireland. Through the Vineyard, many churches have been equipped to continue Jesus’ ministry of proclaiming the kingdom, demonstrating the kingdom and training disciples. Find out more here:
Pray Haringey.
We are an active member of Pray Haringey, a long standing relational joining of churches across Haringey. This movement has helped bring the body of Christ together through worship, prayer initiatives and many community-focused projects including the Haringey (and later London) Week of Peace and Soul in the City.
There is a monthly leaders meeting on the first Friday of each month, along with two weekly intercession meetings for the borough, 6am every Wednesday morning on Zoom and every Thursday evening in person, usually at Christchurch Waldeck Rd, Wood Green. Please contact us for more info.
Giving.
Generosity with our money shows how important God is to us. In doing so, we acknowledge everything we have is a gift from God, and surrender to His will and purposes. It’s clearly good news for the Church, but also our community, as we're able to finance the things that we sense God is putting on our hearts.
If you call London Life Vineyard your church then we ask you to please consider giving regularly as your gift to God.
